NAAWK sells two types of products: Full Spectrum Hemp/CBD Extract and Certified THC-Free Hemp/CBD Extract. We do not sell anything that contains CBD isolate. Every single product in our CBD line provides the benefits of whole plant cannabinoids, also known as the entourage effect.

Certified THC-Free

NAAWK’s Certified THC-Free Hemp Extract products contain less than 0.00% THC. Each batch undergoes rigorous extraction and third-party testing methods to verify this.

Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract

NAAWK’s Full Spectrum Hemp Extract  is processed using low-temperature CryoPress with food grade ethanol. This process keeps cannabinoids, terpenes, chlorophyll, and many other naturally occurring compounds intact.

While our Full-Spectrum Hemp Extracts contain trace amounts of THC, all of NAAWK’s products contain less than 0.3% THC – strictly adhering to the standards set forth in the Federally Approved 2018 Farm Bill.

CBD Isolate

CBD Isolate is made by refining and isolating just one of hundreds of cannabinoids: CBD. This process strips out 100+ beneficial cannabinoids, terpenes, and many other compounds naturally found in the hemp plant. This produces a white powder that contains 99% CBD. NAAWK never uses CBD isolate in any of our products.

2. What is the DIfference Between Hemp-derived CBD and THC, and How Does It Impact My Mind and Body?

In order to understand the difference between CBD and THC, you first need to understand the difference between hemp and marijuana. Although the two are often mixed up with each other, hemp and marijuana are very different.

Hemp plants look very similar to marijuana but are bred to contain very little THC. Unlike marijuana plants, hemp plants are naturally rich in CBD and many other phytocannabinoids. The name “CBD” is actually an abbreviation; it’s short for cannabidiol, a naturally occurring compound with powerful wellness benefits. A plant-derived oil, CBD, comes from the hemp plant, a flowering herb indigenous to Central Asia. All of NAAWK’s high-quality wellness products are made exclusively from hemp-derived CBD. Nutrient-packed and therapeutic, hemp-derived CBD may help balance your immune system, support chronic pain management, help sore muscles, aid in skin and lip protection, and more without any of the unwanted effects of marijuana.*

The marijuana strain of cannabis has been intensely cultivated in order to enhance its concentration of delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the compound that generates the mental and physical effects that marijuana is known for.

NAAWK’s THC-Free Hemp Extract is 100% hemp-derived and contains 0.00% THC. Our Full-Spectrum Hemp Extracts are also 100% hemp-derived, contain less than 0.3% THC and strictly adhere to the standards set forth by the Federally Approved 2018 Farm Bill

3. What Extraction Methods does NAAWK Use? What Should I Keep in Mind When Looking into CBD Extraction Methods?

NAAWK uses two different extraction methods: One for Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract and the other for our Certified THC-Free extracts.

Our Full-Spectrum extraction process utilizes low-temperature CryoPress with food grade ethanol to derive full-spectrum hemp extract from industrial, U.S.-grown hemp. NAAWK’s CryoPress extraction process ensures that our hemp extract retains its nourishing omega fatty acids, terpenes, and other therapeutic elements found naturally in the hemp plant.

NAAWK’s Certified THC-Free Extract undergoes a unique two-step method, combining the CryoPress with Liquid Chromatography extraction. This is the most advanced way to effectively remove THC, while preserving beneficial terpenes and cannabinoids like Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabichromene (CBC) and Cannabinol (CBN). The resulting product may also be referred to as broad spectrum hemp extract.

With both processes, your mind and body benefit from a blend of the following naturally occurring compounds found in hemp,

  • Cannabinoids, beneficial natural compounds that help support your physical and mental wellbeing*
  • Terpenes, the aromatic “helpers” which maximize cannabinoids’ effectiveness. These may help your body operate at peak performance*
  • Flavonoids, potent plant-based antioxidants which help with inflammation and support heart health*
  • Omega Fatty Acids, crucial nutrients that combat depression and ADHD, aid circulation and support chronic pain management*
  • Amino Acids, the body’s building blocks, which help you to stay energetic, add muscle, sleep soundly, keep fit, and focus on what matters to you

While NAAWKs extraction processes are more thorough than most, CBD products are not regulated by the FDA. Therefore, we recommend that consumers carefully research any CBD products they’re interested in before purchasing them.

Be wary of companies that make exaggerated promises about the amount of CBD in their products. The truth is, the various processes used in the industry yield differing concentrations of CBD. An extraction process that involves using butane or acetone as a solvent is also a red flag.

CBD may help you manage chronic pain, boost your immune system, decrease anxiety, and replenish your energy levelsbut only if it comes from a high-quality source like NAAWK.*

4. How Does NAAWK Test Its Products? Are Test Results Available for the Public to View?

NAAWK’s premium-grade CBD products are tested using the gold standard in our industry: third-party testing. To ensure the integrity of our products, each batch is reviewed by an independent lab not affiliated with our company.

We’re proud of the purity of our products, so we make this testing process fully transparent. After the third-party lab has analyzed our batches, each one is given a Certificate of Analysis (COA), which is stored in our publicly accessible NAAWK batch database.

When you buy a NAAWK Certified THC-free or Full Spectrum CBD product, we provide the lot number, so you can look up its COA for yourself. As you’ll see, NAAWK’s CBD/hemp extract products are:

  • Rich in CBD, cannabinoids, and terpenes
  • Extracted to preserve Full-Spectrum benefits
  • Available in Certified THC-free options
  • Free of contaminants like pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, residual solvents, and mycotoxins

5. Will NAAWK's CBD Products Cause Me To Fail A Drug Test?

Much like the consumption of poppy seeds may lead to a positive drug test for opioids, the consumption of certain hemp products may lead to a positive drug test for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is inherently present in trace amounts in hemp plants. The legal limit of THC in hemp is no more than 0.3%. Furthermore, the underlying science behind the conversion of certain cannabinoids, for example cannabidiol (CBD), when consumed, to other related cannabinoids, for example THC, is not yet fully understood. Although the risk is low, individual biochemistry, the possibility of conversion of cannabinoids and the possibility of trace, but legal, amounts of THC inherent in hemp products, we strongly suggest consulting your health care provider before consuming any hemp products if you are subject to drug testing.

6. Essential CBD Terms

Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract  - With a Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract, you get the “entourage effect”. The complete, whole healing benefits of the cannabis plant—not just CBD. Our revolutionary extraction process retains the naturally-occurring cannabinoids found in hemp, as well as the terpenes, lipids, amino acids, proteins, and fats that support optimal wellness.

Phytocannabinoids - CBD is just one of over 100 plant-based cannabinoids, known as Phytocannabinoids, that can be extracted from the hemp plant. Phytocannabinoids are also found in other plants, like echinacea or even cocoa. Each phytocannabinoid has its own set of wellness benefits that can help you perform at your best.

Cannabinoids - The hemp plant is loaded with beneficial natural compounds, the most abundant of which are cannabinoids. Unique to the hemp plant, cannabinoids are the driving force behind its many powerful wellness and recovery properties.

Flavonoids - Flavonoids are the natural compounds in your favorite fruits and vegetables responsible for their unique tastes, mouth-watering scents, and pollinator-attracting colors. They’re also found in wine, grains, tea, and other plant-based substances. These naturally-occurring plant chemicals support critical brain and recovery functions in our bodies, allowing us to face our next adventure with confidence.

Terpenes - When we smell the cannabis plant, the floral, fruity, musky, or spicy aromas we pick up on are actually terpenes. Terpenes are the key components of essential oils, and also make oranges smell zesty and give Lavender its soothing scent. Terpenes don’t just smell great—they have an important relationship with cannabinoids, working in partnership to help our bodies achieve peak performance.

Cannabidiol - Cannabidiol is a beneficial phytocannabinoid found in hemp—more widely known as CBD.  It’s nutrient-rich, therapeutic effects on the human body have been widely studied in the health care and wellness industry in recent years.

Omega Fatty Acids - To properly fuel your body, you must maintain a healthy balance of Omega-3, Omega-6, and Omega-9, polyunsaturated fats that are provided by our diet. While omega fatty acids cannot be produced by the body, they are found in many seeds and plants, like hemp. For better mental health, heart health, and overall physical performance, it’s important to have an abundance of omega fatty acids in your diet.

Hemp Seed Oil - Made using only the seed of the hemp plant, hemp seed oil does not contain any cannabinoids. Hemp seed oil is packed with plant-based fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6, which help promote healthy organ and muscle function on the cellular level.

Amino Acids - To perform at your best you need amino acids, vital organic compounds that combine in our bodies to form proteins. Amino acids are our main source of energy and keep our body functions running smoothly, from building muscle to maintaining clear mental focus.
